About Us

East Cork Choral Society is a choir for soprano, alto, tenor and bass, with about 60 singers drawn from all walks of life. We give regular performances of all the major oratorios with professional soloists and orchestras. We always welcome new members, it's never too late to join. If you would like to join us please see our "New Members" link at the top of this page!

Our rehearsals take place on Thursdays at 8pm in St Mary's High School.

Our Musical Director is COLIN NICHOLLS. He has recently retired as Organist and Master of the Choristers of St Fin Barre's Cathedral in Cork.

Opening Gala of the Cork International Choral Festival

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and “Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage”.

We will be performing, once again, for the Opening Gala of the Cork International Choral Festival. The Cork Fleischmann Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Keith Pascoe, and a Festival Chorus formed of Cantairí Mhuscraí, Cór Cois Abhann and East Cork Choral Society will bring their wealth of talent and passion to the distinctive melodies of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and “Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage”.

Our rehearsal venue has moved to My Place Community Centre, Midleton. 

New members are always welcome to join us, Thursdays at 8pm
